Design itself is an interdisciplinary practice that combines sensibility and rationality. It requires caring and empathy for the surrounding environment, users, and special issues. When training students, it is important to constantly encourage them to think from different perspectives, to try to empathize with different subjects, and to assist in their development as designers. Once a clear understanding of the issues is established, the focus shifts to contemplating and planning the form, materials, and application in terms of artistic aesthetics and proportional composition. Rational analysis and organization are then applied, using proficient digital tools and techniques to construct a 3D representation and produce a physical model for final validation and testing. While the outcomes are certainly important in the teaching process, the initial process of problem identification and confirmation is a manifestation of cognitive learning. The evolution of form, application of materials, and color coordination convey emotions, and ultimately, the presentation of a design entity requires the integration of technical skills and rational organization.

設計本身就是一個感性+理性的綜合跨領域實務學科。需要對周遭環境、使用者、特殊議題的關心、關懷,產生同理心。訓練學生時不斷地要求換位思考。試著感受不同對象的狀態進而協助並發展設計。在對於議題認知清晰後,即著手針對其造型形式材質應用等做思考規劃、對其藝術美感、造型比例等,作規劃與塑造。最後經由理性的分析整理、透過數位工具技術的純熟、將其3D建構、並產生出實體的模型,做最後的驗證與測試。在授課過程中,成果固然重要.但一開始的找尋問題.確認問題,就是一種認知學習的表現。而造型演化、材質應用與顏色搭配等,就是在情感面的傳達、最後必須透過技能的要求和理性的整理、才能把一個設計實體呈現出來。
