Motivation is the foundation of effective learning. If students do not perceive the usefulness and effectiveness of their learning, it becomes challenging to stimulate their intrinsic desire for knowledge. Therefore, it is crucial to help students build confidence and envision a positive future, enabling them to see the “potential” and “hope” that lies ahead, in order to open the doors of learning. Teachers, leveraging their expertise and practical knowledge, can timely provide examples and illustrate possible future visions, encouraging students’ proactive learning spirit. By gradually enhancing students’ professional competence through teaching and assessment, teachers can help them establish expectations for themselves. Due to the diverse backgrounds and levels of students, their absorption of knowledge and pace of learning can vary significantly. Teachers should quickly understand the differences in students’ levels by means of teaching, questioning, observing students’ responses in class, and assessing their performance. It is essential to adjust teaching methods, attitudes, appropriate teaching materials, and instructional tools, as well as adapt teaching progress and evaluation methods to cater to individual students. This way, the principle of “teaching according to students’ aptitude” can be implemented, maximizing the effectiveness of teaching.
