During the nine years that I have been teaching full-time at Chung Yuan Christian University Department of Architecture, I have a deep understanding of the challenges of teaching and necessity for continuous evolution in teaching. My previous experience in participating in design has enabled me to integrate architectural professional knowledge into teaching. Through teaching design across different grade levels, I have a deep understanding of students’ desire for in-depth learning, which has prompted me to continuously adjust and add course content. Through the curriculum planning of “Architectural Structure” and “Architectural Professional Internship”, students are exposed to the real working environment through construction site and office visits, and at the same time, they enrich their own experience. The digital construction group promoted in the past two years is a combination of digital tools and structural implementation. It is not only a learning and challenge for students and teachers, but also allows us to have new imaginations about the future of architecture.
投身中原建築全職任教的九年時間,我深刻體會到教學工作的挑戰與持續進化的必要性。以往參與設計實務的經驗,讓我能將建築專業知識融入教學中,並透過各年級的設計教學,深刻理解學生對深入學習的渴望,這促使我持續的調整與增添課程內容。藉著「建築構造」和「建築專業實習」的課程規劃,以工地和事務所參訪讓同學接觸真實工作環境,同時也豐富了自身經驗。這兩年推動的數位構築組,是數位工具與構造實作的結合,不但是學生與老師的學習和挑戰,更讓我們對於建築的未來有新的想像。
