STEAM Teaching Workshop:
STEAM integrates the content from the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. STEAM education emphasizes on interdisciplinary learning, team-working, creative thinking, and practice. This is the best practice for competency-based learning and cross-disciplinary exploration and implementation mentioned in Master Framework for the 12-year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines (108 Curriculum Guidelines).
The purpose of this workshop is not only to focus on consolidating the interdisciplinary cooperation consensus among teachers but also to promote interdisciplinary teaching to various colleges through exchanges and interactions among departments and teaching practice.
The workshop will regularly host meetings and invite speakers to share and exchange thoughts, thereby enhancing the lecturer’s teaching capabilities.
In doing so, the workshop members will also discuss strategies for promoting school-level STEAM education program and teaching practice as a reference for future STEAM education at our university.
