The general education courses taught by the author are all large-class courses. To meet the challenges of teaching a large number of students, the author needs to consider the learners’ needs during lesson preparation. The author reminds themselves that students’ learning characteristics and needs are easily concealed or neglected by the group. Therefore, even in the form of large-class teaching, interactive practical activities should be incorporated. When explaining concepts, the author also introduces pre-organizing to make learning more meaningful and contextualized. Individual guidance and feedback, which are often overlooked in large classes, are also given to students through timely feedback and encouragement based on their learning traces.
