I personally believe that education, in addition to teaching students to explore knowledge and skills, is also the only way to shape a noble personality, and it is also a process of pursuing the meaning of one’s life and the realization of one’s ideals. Therefore, the core teaching concept of undergraduate and graduate master’s and doctoral courses is to guide students to build, break through and make progress in their own life ideas. We insist that the university’s higher education concept is the construction and extension of “thoughts”, and cultivate students’ ability to reflect, question and criticize through thoughts. Through reflection, questioning and criticism, we enrich and expand the connotation of thoughts, and finally practice the power of knowledge. In addition to achieving one’s own ideals, we can also contribute to society and benefit the people. In my class, “Listening to Thought” creates an environment for teachers and students to discuss with each other, so that they can learn from each other.

個人深信教育除教導學生探索知識及技能外,也是塑造高尚人格的必經之路,更是追求自我生命意義及理念實現的過程。因此,大學部及研究所碩、博士班課程的教學核心理念也是以引導學生自我生命思想建構及突破、進步為目標,堅持大學高等教育理念是「思想」建構及延伸,透過思想培養學生反思、質疑與批判的能 力,也經由反思、質疑與批判,豐富與拓展思想的內涵,最終實現知識的力量,除了成就自我理想外,也能貢獻社會,造福人群。在我的課堂中「傾聽思想」(Listening to Thought)創造了一個可以師生相互討論的環境,彼此教學相長。
