The value of holistic education is a crucial core principle for future teacher candidates who will enter campuses as educators. Through past curriculum implementation and interactions with students, it has been discovered that incorporating the spirit of holistic education and design into professional teaching courses can indeed have a significant impact on students’ learning outcomes. Although these design elements may complicate the implementation of the curriculum, requiring more effort in communication and coordination with students, it helps students gradually accept and understand the value and purpose of such designs. This process often involves some struggles with students. However, witnessing the deep emotional connections students establish with rural students after completing the course and rural service-learning camps, their reflective thinking abilities regarding their teaching plans, and the establishment of their own educational values and beliefs, it feels like everything is worthwhile!

全人教育的價值,對於未來要進入校園擔任老師的師培生而言,是非常重要的核心理念。從過去的課程執行以及與學生的互動發現,在專業的教學課程中,將全人教育的精神與設計融入到課程中,確實會對學生的學習成果產生重要的影響。雖然,在過程中,會因為這些設計,讓課程的實施變得較為複雜,需要花更多的心力跟學生進行溝通與協調,幫助學生能漸漸接受以及瞭解這樣設計的價值以及目的,而在這過程,也常常會需要與學生間進行拉扯。但,看到了學生在完成課程以及偏鄉服務學習營隊後,他們與偏鄉學生建立的深刻情感、他們對於自己教學方案的省思能力以及他們對於自己教育價值與理念的建立,就感覺,這一切,都值了!
