I value the valuable feedback provided by students in teaching. As the saying goes, “Teaching and learning go hand in hand,” and by listening to students’ valuable opinions, I can continuously improve my teaching skills. I hope that students who take my courses can enhance their professional competence and broaden their perspectives on life by absorbing the essence of the curriculum. Through this process, I aim to cultivate their critical thinking and creativity, as well as ignite their passion for exploring the depths of professional knowledge. Furthermore, I encourage students to improve their learning effectiveness. By promoting interaction among peers, we can stimulate their motivation to learn and create a virtuous cycle that enhances their academic performance. The educational philosophy of Chung Yuan Christian University is grounded in love and leading by example. The balanced education concept of Tian (heaven), Ren (human), Wu (object), and Wo (me) serves as the foundation for nurturing the Holistic Education of university students. The responsibilities of university teachers encompass teaching, research, service, and counseling. Teaching and research are like the two wheels of a vehicle, but if university teachers possess the ability to add the third aspect of service and counseling, these three aspects can construct a complete plane for the teacher’s career. By progressing in this virtuous cycle of an isosceles triangle, a teacher’s career can be sustained in the long run. This is the self-motivation and aspiration that I bring to my teaching career at Chung Yuan Christian University.
珍惜學生在教學上給予的寶貴教學意見,常言道:教學相長,藉學生寶貴意見可以持續精進個人教學技能。期待修課的學生藉由課程精華的吸取可以提升專業素養和人生境界,進而培養個人思考力與原創力,激發學生對專業知識探索的熱誠。除此之外,鼓勵學生提升學習成效,透過同儕之間的互動可激發學習動機,藉此產生良性循環、提升學習成績。中原大學的教育之道無他,唯愛與榜樣而已。中原大學的天、人、物、我的平衡教育理念是塑造大學生完整人格的全人教育之基礎。大學教師之職責包括教學、研究、服務與輔導,教學與研究如車之兩輪兼容並蓄的二點,若大學教師有能力再加上服務與輔導的第三點,此三點可進一步建構教師歷程的完整平面,並依此良性循環的等腰三角形向前邁進,如此教師的職涯才能走得長久,這也是我在中原大學擔任教職自我勉勵、期許的教師生涯。
