About the Center for Faculty Development
Two core businesses of Center for Teaching Excellence are “Promote Lecturer’s Teaching Innovation and Professional Knowledge Cultivation” and “Secure Resources for Teaching-improvement Program”
- Promote Lecturer’s Teaching Innovation and Professional Knowledge Cultivation: Promotes innovative teaching approach for lecturer to implement in courses. Mainly through operating the “Innovative Teaching Workshop”, providing financial subsidies for teaching resources, organizing lecturer professional knowledge development activities, and offering opportunities for lecturer to develop English capabilities domestically and overseas. By empower lecturers with innovative teaching method and English teaching capacity, drastically improve every aspect of the lecturers’ teaching profession abilities.
- Secure Resources for Teaching-improvement Program: Develop a Mid-term Academic Development Plan and overall Academic Subsidy Plan for our school, and actively seek funding from the programs such as High Education SPROUT Project (SPROUT) and the Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College (BEST). Thereby, continuously promoting the integration, linkage, innovation, and diffusion of teaching and learning resources at our college.
