課程介紹
一、課程目標和遠景
String Music Appreciation is a general curriculum course encompassing a series of 18th to 20th century western string music for everyone. The course is designed to achieve the following objectives.
1. Expanding and understanding of string instruments, string music composers, string music virtuoso, and string music repertoire;
2. Developing knowledge of classical string music history and background;
3. Developing appreciation of classical string music; and
4. Advancing analytical ability of critics on well-known chamber music repertoire including trio, quartet, quintet..etc.
西洋弦樂器賞析是一門通識課程，適合於每一位人士，它包含一系列18到20世紀的西洋弦樂器音樂的介紹。這門課程的設計將達到以下幾個特點：
- 增廣對於弦樂器的知識，弦樂器的作曲家，精湛的弦樂器演奏大師，以及弦樂音樂的作品。
- 具備了解古典弦樂音樂的歷史以及故事背景等知識。
- 具備欣賞古典弦樂音樂的能力。
- 培養更精準的能力能評辨著名的室內樂曲目，如三重奏、四重奏、五重奏等。
二、課程特色
The course specialty of String Music Appreciation is emphasis on the violin’s demonstration, different approach of presentation than the traditional lecture. Because of the instrumental demonstration, the audience would be appreciate in listening to the music. The content of the course encompasses three parts. They are lecturing, introducing and demonstrating. The way of design for this course would be fun and interesting.
- Lecturing: Because the course is designed as an English lecture course, some of music vocabularies and terminologies would be defined. Through explaining and clarifying the definition of music words, audience would be understanding and realizing the words’ definition.
- Introducing: The lecturer would introduce many different structure and performance technique of the string instruments. The lecturer would also explained and analyzed the background information of the music excerpts.
- Demonstrating: Every selected music would be pre-listened and guided by the lecturer. The listening of music would be demonstrated on the violin or watched musician’s performance video clip.
本課程的特色與傳統的一對多人的講述授課方式不同，課程的呈現將以現場小提琴示範為基礎，藉此帶領學員們學會聆聽與感受，課程的特色內容分為三個部分，包含講解、介紹、以及示範，以此方式授課的課程將是活潑且有趣的。
- 講解：因為是英語授課課程，課堂中會解釋一些常用的音樂單詞及術語，透過理解的方式學員們會更清楚明暸字義與用法。
- 介紹：課堂中會介紹許多不同的弦樂樂器、構造、演奏技巧等。音樂片段的欣賞也將以樂曲的創作背景跟樂曲分析進行說明。
- 示範：樂曲聆聽會以引導聆聽的方式呈現，音樂的內容除了用小提琴示範說明之外，亦會透過音樂家的演奏片段讓學員們能更真實的感受樂曲的風貌。
三、適用對象及先備知識
String Music Appreciation course is good for anyone who are interested in the music and for music enthusiasts who want to study the music. For those people that didn’t educate in music, were welcome to enroll this course.
This course provides knowledge and appreciation of classical string music. There is no requirement before taking the course. It would be a good resources for everyone.
本課程適合喜愛音樂的人士，以及想要多接觸音樂的人士來修習，如無音樂學習基礎者也適合修習本課程。
本課程是培養學員們的音樂知識和欣賞能力為主的教學課程，以古典音樂為立基，涵蓋多元應用面向的音樂鑒賞能力之培養，修習本課程無需任何先備音樂知識，各年齡層之音樂愛好者、學習者皆可入門選修，是適合成為全民的音樂藝文終生學習課程。
